Marie Ann Del Valle Coppin
Director
Marie Ann has had the privilege of working with children both inside and outside of the classroom. She’s originally from Puerto Rico and is very proud of her heritage. Marie Ann joined Mi Escuelita in 2023.

Ingrid Prado
Assistant Director
Ingrid is originally from Lima, Peru. Her background is in administration with 14 years of experience in the Early Education Spanish Immersion Programs. Ingrid joined Mi Escuelita in 2023.

Alejandrina Guevara
Teacher in Solecitos
Alejandrina is originally from Honduras. She joined Mi Escuelita in 2019.

Adamari Gonzalez - Salinas
Teacher in Lunitas
Adamari has been working with children for the last 5 years. She has two certifications and an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was born and raised in Danville, VA, and is bilingual. Adamari’s family is originally from Durango Mexico. She joined Mi Escuelita in 2023.

Blanca Maradiaga
Teacher in Lunitas
Blanca earned an Associate Degree as a Business Secretary in her home country Honduras. She joined Mi Escuelita in 2007.

José Emilio Gutiérrez
Teacher in Cometas
Emilio is from Mexico, born in the state of Veracruz. He has a bachelor's degree in education from his home country and six years of experience working with children up to the age of 12. He is passionate about teaching and joined Mi Escuelita in 2024 to continue learning from his students.

Yesenia Morales
Teacher in Cometas
Yesenia is originally from Chiapas, Mexico. She previously worked in Montessori Schools. Yesenia joined Mi Escuelita in 2022.

Ana Carolina Sequera
Music Teacher
Carolina is from Venezuela where she studied piano, singing and composition. She taught in a Spanish immersion preschool from 2016 to 2021 and now focuses on teaching music to children.

Stepahanie Campbell
Teacher in Estrellitas
Stephanie Campbell is originally from Durango, Mexico, and she holds an associate's degree in Accounting. With over eight years of experience as an au pair and nanny, she has a strong background in child care. Stephanie moved to North Carolina with her husband and their two-year-old son. She is passionate about early childhood education and eager to foster every child's imagination. She joined Mi Escuelita in 2024.

Marcia Castellano Alvarez
Teacher in Solecitos
Marcia Castellano Alvarez is from Cuba and has dedicated over 30 years to teaching, which she considers both a vocation and a passion. She has experience teaching in her home country as well as in North Carolina, where she spent 12 years working with young children. Marcia began her journey at Mi Escuelita in 2024 and continues to learn something new every day, finding joy in her teaching.

Alexis Besosa
Yoga Teacher
Alexis is of Cuban and Puerto Rican descent. She received her yoga teacher training with Carrboro Yoga Company, and her children’s yoga teacher training with Kidding Around Yoga. She joined Mi Escuelita as the yoga instructor in 2023.
